But here’s the thing: thanks to the increasingly stringent border controls shoved down our throats by the Rethuglies, those Latinos with friends and loved ones on the other side of the border probably possess passports and other proofs of citizenship that loyal MAGAs like Clem and Lester probably lack.

IMO Democratic grass-roots organizations ought to start encouraging progressive voters to get proofs of citizenship ASAP. This might be someplace where grass-roots organizing can trump Republican astroturfing.
