Many want the current Iranian regime gone, and that is why you are probably seeing your friend glad that it might be happening.

The problem is this may not go as your friend anticipates, and may make things worse unless a replacement government is put in place.

This could very easily devolve into a Civil War, and I wouldn’t count on trump preventing that.
