There's a weird thing on Quora right now - people asking about drafting Barron Trump to the military [View all]

Ignore that there has been no draft in the United States since the end of the Vietnam Conflict.

Dude, I was a sergeant for a long time and there's no way in hell I would EVER want Barron Trump in my unit. I'm not talking about whether he's entitled or a spoilt brat or anything like that. He might turn out to be a perfectly respectable soldier and even NCO material. But can you imagine having to deal with the logistics surrounding the president's kid on a daily basis? You have Secret Service officers piled up in the mess hall kitchen watching the battalion cooks to be sure they didn't slip anything into the food. (Not to worry, sir. We won't even put flavor in the food!) You'd have Secret Service agents surrounding every formation he was in. You'd have to do all sorts of risk assessments normal soldiers don't need to ensure he doesn't get injured working on his vehicle, live fire training would be a nightmare (we're going to have six firing orders today: Specialist Trump will go first before any other firers arrive at the range, then we'll have five orders for everyone else) and...you're at the ever-present risk of his fucking father showing up unannounced to yell at his kid.

No, no, he can stay home and try to overcome the liability of his last name.
