If there is anyone in doubt of our authoritarian evil propagandist governance, now would be a good time to start paying attention.

#OnThisDay 1943:
Members of the #WhiteRose movement, a non-violent resistance group in the Third Reich, were arrested by the Gestapo. They distributed leaflets denouncing the regime's oppression and crimes, and called for non-violent resistance. Many of them were sentenced to death.

The group wrote, printed, and initially distributed their pamphlets in the greater Munich region. Later on, secret carriers brought copies to other cities, mostly in the southern parts of Germany.
