21. It's all about priorities

The current "status quo" go along to get along, get a few tidbits here and there, leadership finally needs to figure out that their timid strategy is failing miserably. They've been using this failed strategy for 25 years the result of which has culminated in Trump/GOP actively working in broad daylight no less, to turn our country into a Nazi dictatorship while the "status quo" leadership remains blissfully unaware of what's really happening. It's the "status quo" leadership that continues to bring slingshots to the fight while Trump/GOP are bringing AK-47s to the fight. The grassroots well understands what's happening and what the Trump/GOP threat to American democracy is and they want change now before it's too late. If the current "status quo" leadership is unwilling to meet this critical moment, then they need to step aside for leaders who understand this threat and who will rise to meet this most dangerous moment for American democracy. The situation our country is in is dire and the time to act to save it for future generations of Americans is now.
