Maybe you know this... noise from data centers implicated in cattle still births [View all]

I know they suck up electricity and water wherever they are. I did not know that chickens have reduced egg production and cattle have increased stillbirths in the vicinity of data centers. Apparently the stress of the constant audio noise is the issue even though in terms of decibel it doesn't exceed 60 db, so is below the noise level typically used to mark industrial hazards.

This will NOT make data centers popular among rural peoples.

I encountered a story on the Bing aggregator the other day and found many links to social media, one to a yahoo news account. There is concern but not enough controlled studies to stop the boom in building data centers in livestock growing areas.
