(27,812 posts)43. This is why I live in a state with mostly Democrats.
I don't understand exactly why so many people would prefer to live in an awful, Republican controlled state just because it doesn't get snow. Or because taxes are low. There is an awful lot more to quality of life than snow or cold.
I have also lived in more states (a total of seven) than a lot of people, so I often have a perspective someone who has only lived in one state and not travelled very much can't possibly have.
