It's a good thing. I've long wondered why so many in the IT professions (myself included), are being displaced by H1B recipients. We have a fine education system for IT related jobs, and from MY experience, we often know more than our "offshore" counterparts.
Where possible, companies need to "hire American" as often as feasible even if there is a small hit to the company's bottom line.
