Could it be that carriers and the multitude of accompanying vessels in the Carrier Task Force are obsolete?

Compare the cost of a new carrier, cruiser, destroyer, oiler, etc., to the cost of a few thousand drones

The USS Doris Miller (CVN81) keel was scheduled to be laid last month; launch 2029; commissioned 2032. Don't ask about the USS William Clinton (CVN82) and the USS George Bush (CNV83). Meanwhile, drones take a few hours to build.
