officials was discounting it was based on anti-semitism. I don't know how stupid they think people are, but antisemitic tropes that the airwaves and social media are constantly bombared with definitely are complicit in incidents like this.

There is a book, "Heart of a Stranger", by Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, which has a chapter documenting how she became involved in the Colleyville hostate situation.

Angela Buchdahl is the first Asian American to be ordained as a rabbi, and she gives an account of her journey from feeling like an outsider to becoming one of the most admired religious leaders in the world.

I highly recommend the book. Her experience of growing up, becoming the Senior Rabbi of thee Central Synagogue in New York, going through the COVID pandemic, October 7, etc. reflect what many of us felt.
